A countertop takeoff is the measure-up: working out how much material, edge, and cut-out work a job actually contains before you price it. In iCounterSoft the takeoff and the drawing are the same act.

From the plan: Import the CAD DXF on Pro and it finds the pieces, cut-outs, splashes and seams and draws them, after showing you what it found.
From the site: Or draw the run, the return and the island straight from your own measurements, in millimetres or inches, on any plan.
Quantities off the drawing: Area, linear metres, cut-outs and edge runs come off the shapes themselves, so changing a length changes the price line rather than the spreadsheet.
